Marconi were implementing SAP throughout the organisation. Decipher Consulting were part of the team commissioned to provide end-user training in the new system.

Decipher's consultant designed and developed classroom lessons with PowerPoint presentations, hands-on exercises and assessment questions. He also designed computer-based training (CBT) using the On Demand tool.

The courses covered business processes in logistics, including the following topics:

Production Planning (PP):

• Long term planning based on sales inquiries
• Supply chain planning

• Capacity planning
• Manufacturing execution and production orders

Sales and Distribution (SD):

• Sales Orders with variant configuration
• Available to promise (ATP) check

Materials Management (MM):

• Materials requirement planning (MRP)
• Purchase requisitions

Warehouse Management (WM):

• Transfer orders
• Handling unit management (HUM)

Customer Service (CS):

• Service orders
• Capacity planning
